Overview

In just 72 hours you will build a real self driving car, from scratch, and set it on the road to a demolition derby.

You and 6 teammates will work together under the guidance of Silicon Valley startup founders and Y Combinator/Techstars alumni, racing the clock to learn, experiment with and build a squad of self driving cars.

You must have technical skills to participate in one or more of these areas:

  • AI programming (tensorflow, python, linux etc.),

  • embedded programming (arduino),

  • electrical engineering (circuit design, etc.),

  • mechanical/industrial design,

  • auto/industrial mechanical,

  • auto/industrial electrical,

  • general mechatronics.

Pre-registered participants include local teams from QLD, mechatronics students from Sydney, auto-engineers from Detroit, electrical engineers from Silicon Valley and programmers from NYC.

Your Mission: Mad Max + Skynet + Robot Wars + Junkyard Wars + DARPA Grand Challenge.

All in 72 hours.

Thank you for interest, our application window has closed, but we have some good news for you:

1. Pre-register for our next event now. We monitor this form daily and may still offer you a special last minute place

2. We decide our next location and timing based on the strongest interest, so make sure your contacts from Australia and around the world register

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

The world is becoming autonomous. Your role is to lead the change. We are all getting a promotion -- in the future, the only kind of work will be the management of robots.

Our goal at The Robotics Club is to show people we all have meaningful roles in a robot powered future.

A technical people, we want you to leave this event knowing you understand the full systems of a self driving car and how to implement a V1 of any large scale autonomous robot.

You will develop a serious array of skills, an awesome project video, and meet like-minded people. Whether your goal is to join a robotics company, or start your own, you’ll find a great community and make bonds with people working hard on robotics.
